Kazakhstan to tighten cryptocurrency regulation
The National Bank of Kazakhstan is going to tighten the rules for cryptocurrency turnover in the country, Russia 24 reports.
According to the Chairman of National Bank of Kazakhstan Daniyar Akishev, the regulator together with the government are considering changing the conditions of digital currency operations.
Authorities are going to prohibit buying cryptocurrencies for Kazakhstani tenge. Moreover, prohibitions may also affect issue of cryptocurrency.
According to Akishev, virtual money resembles pyramid investment scheme, when the price of the asset is not backed up, but grows because of sensations in the media or the actions of certain investors.
