Tatarstan authorities are planning to implement blockchain in state administration
The government of the Republic considers the possibility of integrating blockchain in healthcare, financial sector, and document flow, writes RBC Tatarstan.
Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, issued a decree to analyze the possibility of implementing blockchain in the state administration. QIWI platform specialists dealt with the task. As a result, experts recommended using blockchain for voting, accounting of certificates, digital identity, in health care, notarial system, land registry offices, and for document flow.
“Currently, these areas are reviewed by the governmental authorities of the Republic. However, we are already discussing the possible blockchain integration in the finance sector with the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography (Rosreestr),” Anna Yakovleva, the spokeswoman of the Ministry of Informatization and Communications of Tatarstan, said.
The director of Kazan-based educational institution Blockchain Club Maksim Kurbangaleev supports the governmental initiative. He believes that blockchain will help to save funds and provide quality and user-friendly services for people. Besides, the technology will influence the speed and efficiency of various transactions.
